We are a low-key group who meet for a meal and casual games of chess. Our meetups are at least once a month at the Cosi at Dupont South (Right near the top of the South exit). Sometimes we have additional meetups on other days of the week, or near other Metro stops in the D.C. area, while keeping Cosi at Dupont South as our main meeting place.

Kubb is a Scandinavian lawn-game, involving throwing wooden sticks underhand to knock over wooden figures. Meet other local backgammon players who love to learn or play this ancient game. Backgammon is a game of skill, tactics and luck! One can say it is like chess with the addition of some luck and adrenalin! We will plan on meeting in local restaurants and coffee shops to add some more variety. If you love to go out, socialize, and play backgammon, this is the group for you. Just remember to bring your smile, appetite, and a backgammon set!

DC Fun Chinese hosts game nights where we play Mahjong, Chinese Chess, Chinese card games, Weiqi (Go), etc. We also dine out, do outdoor events, go on museum trips, attend Asian club nights, study/practice Chinese language with students in China via Skype internet chat, and come together face-to-face to practice Mandarin.
