This is a meetup for chess enthusiasts of all levels to get together once or twice a week to play in Downtown Silver Spring. If there is enough interest, perhaps we can start an informal league. Other ideas - the more advanced players can conduct "play and review" type coaching sessions. New ideas welcome.
We are a low-key group who meet for a meal and casual games of chess. Our meetups are at least once a month at the Cosi at Dupont South (Right near the top of the South exit). Sometimes we have additional meetups on other days of the week, or near other Metro stops in the D.C. area, while keeping Cosi at Dupont South as our main meeting place.
