The Central Florida Chess Players Meetup

Meet other local chess players to share chess-related experiences, education, styles of play, history, biographies, game strategy and practice all styles of play - from casual to aggressive (competitive), to friendly and blitz play. This meetup is fully staffed with a dozen professional Staunton chess sets and boards, one tournament-rated chess clock (for now) for the main table and a side NOVAG chess computer for those interested in learning through chess computer precision play. The meetups will take place at a permanent address location - TBA (to be announced) to members. I look forward to all of you who are truly talented in and deeply in love with chess to come and find a constant place of intense practice and enjoyment of chess (the noblest game of spatial mathematics). Alexander Alekhine said "During a chess competition a chessmaster should be a combination of a beast of prey and a monk." I hope we will achieve this height of chess game enjoyment on an ordinary level of play. A possible CFCP Meetup motto suggestion: "Joy Through Chess-based Friendships."
